Hollol Gymraeg, Oil 4 Wales

Oil 4 Wales is an independent fuel supplier providing a much-needed range of services to homes, businesses, commercial premises, agricultural and retail customers throughout Wales.  Oil 4 Wales is a family-run business, established in the heart of Wales by Colin Owens, built with the support of his family.

The existing site along the A48 has been transformed, with a new restaurant built under Oil 4 Wales’s restaurant brand Hollol Gymraeg, offering views of the Black Mountains from its balcony and serving Welsh produce.

Alongside this, its on-site shop offers essential goods and Welsh products, with staff providing bilingual services. The facility is set to host meet and great evenings with Oil 4 Wales’s rugby ambassadors including Ken Owens, Jonathan Davies, and Go Compare opera star Wynne Evans.   The new development from Oil 4 Wales, which provides oil and fuel supplies to 90,000 customers nationwide, has been created following investment from the family-run business.

Ministry of Furniture were approached by Oil 4 Wales, to oversee the interior design, supply of furniture, fit-out and internal signage for the Hollol Gymraeg restaurant – working closely with the client and main contractor.

Initially we provided consultation and carried out a site survey. Our team of designers created mood boards, specified products, finishes and produced space plans with 3D visualisations and elevations to ensure the client was 100% satisfied with the proposed designs.

Our experienced installation team worked closely with Project Managers to coordinate the interior fit-out, furniture supply and fitting of signs around the restaurant. We are very pleased that we were able to provide the complete package of products and services inhouse from initial concept through to completed installation. The graphics provided included a branded chalkboard, back-lit sign, manifestation and cut out wall signs. Products provided were sourced from UHS, Senator and Knightsbridge.

Director Sally Owens, whose father Colin founded the company in 2010, said: “The Nantycaws Filling Station has been a project that we have been keenly developing over the past two years, so we are delighted to be approaching completion.

“We believe that we have created a genuinely unparalleled community asset for the people of Carmarthenshire, and we can’t wait for everyone to see it. Our relaunched Nantycaws Filling Station has been totally transformed and features a host of new features.”
