Contracts and Frameworks

Since becoming an NPS furniture supplier Ministry have been awarded a number of supply contracts for furniture and associated items across the Welsh public sector.


The National Procurement Service promotes Welsh public sector procurement collaboration to deliver a good deal for Wales. We are a framework supplier for the National Procurement Service (NPS) for Wales. Ministry of Furniture have successfully worked with the NPS and its customers for more than 5years. After a competitive tendering process, Ministry were awarded a new framework contract in August 2020 for Lots 2 & 3, enabling us to offer furniture and associated services (Signage & Graphics) to NPS customers.

Under the NPS Furniture framework (NPS-CFM-0092-18) Swansea Council appointed Ministry of Furniture as their preferred furniture supplier until 31st May 2022 via a Direct Award in accordance with the NPS, Provision of Furniture Solutions Framework Agreement. This agreement applies to all council buildings and schools within Swansea.

Under the NPS Furniture framework (NPS-CFM-0092-18) Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council appointed Ministry of Furniture as their preferred furniture supplier from 24th August 2020 until 23rd August 2022 with the option to extend for a further 24 months in accordance with the NPS, Provision of Furniture Solutions Framework Agreement. This agreement applies to council buildings and schools within Neath Port Talbot.


In July 2021 we were awarded the ‘Call off Contract for the Supply of Furniture Solutions from the NPS All Wales Collaborative Framework Agreement’ under Lot 3 of the NPS Furniture Framework. The contract is for 3 years with the option to extend for a further 1 year period.

Ministry of Furniture and Merthyr Tydfil Institute for the Blind (MTIB) are working collaboratively to combine their key competencies for Caerphilly County Borough Council. This contract allows the Council to benefit from working with Welsh manufacturers with social aims and with demonstrable expertise in remanufacturing and the circular economy.

In May 2021 South Wales Fire and Rescue Service in partnership with Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service appointed Ministry of Furniture the sole supply contract for the supply of lockers across both forces. The agreement commenced on 19th May 2021 and will expire on 18th May 2025. We are really pleased to be working with both organisations for the supply of furniture, signage and graphics.

In November 2021 we were awarded the contract for Furniture Supply and Installation for Dwr Cymru Cyfyngedig (DCC).

The framework agreement is for an initial period of three years, with an option to extend for a further 2 years at 1 yearly intervals.

Following this contract award we are engaging with the Facilities team at DCC to discuss a number of projects for 2022. We look forward to working with the team.
